Rabbi Dr. Nancy Fuchs-Kreimer once wrote: “We Jews and Christians have made a lot of noise over the centuries, drawing boundaries in the wrong places… When our traditions have tried to paint pictures of the other, they have hardly been at their best.”

Today, with the pressures put on religion by outside forces, the need to gain understanding and to build trusting relationships is greater than ever.

Cape Cod Synagogue and First Lutheran Church are coming together to study, dialog, and to celebrate one another.  Rabbi David Freelund and Pastor Peter Hebert will be using the book by Rabbi David Zaslow, Jesus, First Century Rabbi, as a starting point to discuss misunderstandings and what we have in common.

This 4-week class will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm beginning July 13. The first two classes (July 13 & 29( will be held at the Cape Cod Synagogue, 145 Winter Street, Hyannis, and the second two classes (July 27 & Aug 3) at First Lutheran Church, 1663 Main Street (Route 6A), West Barnstable.
