MEMENTO LIFE STORIES with Drew Morgan

Drew Morgan is a local story lover who, after losing a beloved grandmother, faced the harsh reality that his kids would never have the chance to hear her tell her story.

Realizing the value of a family story, he decided to commit himself full-time to helping families record the experiences of their loved ones through a Memento, a tribute to their lives. A Memento is a thoughtfully curated collection of stories that best represent the ones we love, the lessons they’ve learned, and the lives they’ve lived.

His company, Memento Life Stories, is an oral history advocate that spreads awareness about the impact a recorded life story can have.

In this presentation, we will explore how families can modernize the tradition of tzava’ot, or “ethical wills”, by creating an engaging, interactive storytelling experience.

Together we will learn why reflecting on and sharing one’s life experience is a critical part of the aging process and how a recorded story can leave it’s impact on the individual, family, and community level.
